Permission and safety
Ask first
Get the owner's or land manager's permission before you enter a property or touch a vine. If the answer is no, respect it.
-
Private land
Ask the owner directly.
-
Parks and trails
Contact the agency that runs the land.
Why?
Many run volunteer programs, and many forbid cutting plants without one.
-
Roadsides and utility lines
Contact the road agency or the utility.
Why?
Never work near power lines or traffic.
Report from where you are allowed to be
Report a tree you can see from a public place, or from land you have permission to be on.
Your own risk
Vinely does not verify reports, property ownership or whether a site is safe. Reports come from the public and can be wrong. You act at your own risk, and you are responsible for what you do.
Read how to remove vines first, and bring a partner.
